Is being discouraged or unhappy with the state of our country Unpatriotic?? I think not!!!

I am a Christian, a Husband, a Father, a Son, a Brother and an American.  In that order with no apologies for an insult that someone my take by it.  I believe that this country was formed as ONE NATION UNDER GOD.  And was started by men that were divinely called and appointed by God to forge this great nation under a set of rules and principles that are beyond the ability of man on there own to conceive.  It is the straying from and obscuring of these principles that has lead us to a state of instability on political, economic and social levels.

I believe that all Men are created not only equal but in the image of God.  And that the terms Man and Men refer to Humankind.  All races and genders as they were created by God.

I invite you to join me by reading this blog and feeling free to comment.  Our nation has given up its strength by giving too much power to its government and to the institutions that influence it (this will be clarified in future posts).  The elected officials in this country from the Mayor of your town to the President that sits in the Oval office are there to not only lead but to represent.  We have come to a time in history where they lead us but only represent those that pour money into their campaigns.  They are to busy getting elected to do what their constituents want and once in office they are more worried about staying in office by being re-elected than going against the grain and doing what is in the best interest of their constituents.

The first step in getting the elected officials to represent us is actually knowing who they are.  I know that this sounds silly but how many people actually know who represents them.  I am sad to say that I had to look several  of them up.  Do you know who represents you???  I challenge you to find out.

A great site to find out is your local elections office. If you live in Bexar County, Texas. This is your site.

I made a list of my elected officials and I challenge you to do the same.  They are listed pretty much in order based on proximity to you for a reason.  The government closest to us in theory is supposed to have the most direct affect on our daily lives.  This is because it is the governing body that we have the most direct access to.  Funny how that works.

Remember, it is not bucking authority to demand accountability for our elected officials.  We forget every day that the TRUE AUTHORITY in this country is the voters. You and I are the ones that put them in power.  They have ABSOLUTELY NO POWER THAT WE DO NOT GIVE THEM.

This is a list of my chain for representation:

Home Owners Association : I don't have one but if you do you better know who they are.

School Board : NEISD   President: Beth Plummer,Vice President: Susan Galindo ,Secretary: Sandy Hughey (oddly enough there is no direct phone number listed for reaching their offices)
If you don't think this one is important, Go directly to your local property tax site and see what percentage of your property tax goes to your school district.  It's not that they don't need that money but you need to know how it is being spent.
